Barry Meakings, The Man Who Knows Rubber.
Our founder, Barry Meakings, first brought this system over from France to Dallas, Texas in 1983, where it was developed by a chemist and used for recreational running and horse tracks.

He has developed the system over 40 years to be virtually indestructible, which keeps all of the safety properties our customers have grown to need and appreciate. Rubaroc was first installed on commercial pathways and splash pads before entering the residential market.

Today, Rubaroc has grown to service many markets, from wet deck to fitness. Our mission still remains the same as it did in 1983: to create safe spaces for all ages to enjoy.
