Poured-in-place Rubber Safety Surfacing originated over 70 year ago in France and Germany, where it was developed for the athletic and equestrian markets. Almost 30 years ago and through a twist of fate, Barry Meakings became involved in Rubber Safety Surfacing through his family's long association in the flooring industry. Barry discovered the product while on a business trip to Paris, France, from where he brought samples and brochures back to his home in Dallas, Texas.
Barry's work and tenacious commitment to developing a company dedicated to Rubber Safety Surfacing products eventually became known as Rubaroc International Inc®. Over the years the formula has improved and, after numerous residential and commercial projects, Rubaroc® has developed into the product we use today. Rubaroc® has been installed in a number of countries around the world including the USA, Canada, the UK, Australia, Spain, France, Barbados, the Bahamas, Israel and Saudi Arabia. Clients include luxury hotels and resorts, championship golf clubs, prestigious sports and health facilities.
Currently, Rubaroc International Inc®. has Dealers situated in the United States, Canada, Bahamas, Barbados, Spain, UK and Australia. Barry originally innovated the use of poured-in-place Rubber Safety Surfacing for the swimming pool deck industry but today, through our growing network of company trained Dealers, you will find Rubaroc® Rubber Safety Surfaces being used in a wide variety of applications from water parks and playgrounds, schools and childcare facilities, golf clubs and hotels, private and public housing associations and so much more.
